The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary Drama and Performing Arts Teacher to join our thriving department. This role offers the chance to inspire students, deliver high-quality instruction, and contribute to a school renowned for its supportive environment and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Drama and Performing Arts across all key stages, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide timely interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop departmental policies, curricula, and innovative teaching initiatives.
- Support students in preparing for public examinations and maintain high standards of assessment and reporting.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in administrative tasks and contribute to the smooth running of the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in British Curriculum schools.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Drama and Performing Arts.
- Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and support student progress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum innovation and professional development.
- Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational standards.
- Ability to support and mentor beginning teachers.
- Strong leadership and initiative in curriculum development or project management.
