The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Geography Teacher to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ education and contribute to a school renowned for its excellence and community spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Geography across a range of ages and abilities, including GCSE and A-Level.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school’s expectations and curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and track student progress using data to inform teaching and provide timely interventions.
• Prepare students for public examinations, including setting and marking assessments.
• Communicate effectively with parents through written reports and participation in Parents’ Evenings and Open Evenings.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curricular initiatives.
• Keep up to date with curriculum innovations and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Support the professional growth of beginning teachers where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant qualifications in Geography or a related field.
• Experience teaching in British Curriculum schools, including IGCSE and A-Level.
• Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and support student progress.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to professional development and staying current with subject developments.

Preferred

• Experience teaching BTEC Travel & Tourism.
• Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational standards.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum innovation and project-based learning.
