The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join its team. This role involves teaching across Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on delivering engaging and practical Mathematics lessons that help students achieve academic success and develop as confident, global citizens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, well-structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3–5.
  • Inspire, motivate, and challenge students to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, supporting lower-ability students and challenging higher-ability students.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform lesson planning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.
  • Serve as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and supporting students’ personal and academic development.
  • Contribute to the development of the Mathematics department and wider school initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school’s Outstanding standards in teaching, learning, and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent, with a strong academic background in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5, with knowledge of the English National Curriculum and/or BiBac®.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, engaging and challenging students effectively.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Mathematics in an innovative and practical way.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with a commitment to learning Spanish.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual education or teaching in an international setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development.
