The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary Physics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5. The successful candidate will inspire students, support their academic and personal development, and contribute to maintaining the school’s Outstanding status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge across KS3–KS5.
- Promote excellent progress and outcomes for all learners.
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning and provide feedback.
- Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs and ensure inclusion.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a safe, positive learning environment.
- Act as a form tutor, ensuring excellent pastoral care and communication with families.
- Enrich the Physics curriculum through practical, real-world learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Completed teacher training with relevant experience in a UK, international or bilingual school.
- Recent and relevant professional development in Teaching & Learning.
- Strong classroom management, differentiation skills and understanding of assessment.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Physics and ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related field plus PGCE/QTS (or equivalent).
- English at first-language or equivalent proficiency; willingness to learn Spanish progressively.
Preferred
- Experience with the English National Curriculum and Bilingual Baccalaureate – BiBac®.
- Experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to wider school responsibilities and uphold professional expectations.
