The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced SEN EYFS Tutor to provide high-quality support to students in Woking. This role requires daytime availability and a strong commitment to working with students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective EYFS tuition tailored to students with special educational needs
- Develop and implement individual learning plans that support both academic and emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the student’s education
- Attend training sessions to enhance skills in SEN support and teaching methodologies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment at all times
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in early years foundation stage (EYFS)
- University qualification or currently studying towards one
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
- 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
- Experience working with students with severe SEN
- Experience with online or in-person tutoring
- Experience with the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)
- Knowledge of study techniques and transition support for students
