The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced SEN EYFS Tutor to provide high-quality support to students in Woking. This role requires daytime availability and a strong commitment to working with students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective EYFS tuition tailored to students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans that support both academic and emotional growth
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in the student’s education
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills in SEN support and teaching methodologies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment at all times
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in early years foundation stage (EYFS)
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
  • 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
  • Experience working with students with severe SEN
  • Experience with online or in-person tutoring
  • Experience with the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)
  • Knowledge of study techniques and transition support for students
