The Opportunity:
As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver impactful, trauma-informed tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them reach their full potential. This role offers flexibility, purpose, and the chance to make a real difference in your community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD needs.
- Plan and deliver trauma-informed, flexible teaching to support learners from KS1 to KS5.
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure continuous development.
- Work closely with local authorities and schools to support students with additional educational needs.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that prioritises the well-being of each learner.
- Collaborate with the SEND Support Team to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching.
- Engage in professional development and mentorship opportunities to enhance your skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD learners
- Experience teaching Maths, English, or Science
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred
- Experience in trauma-informed teaching or mental health support
- Experience with SENDCo, LSA, or Educational Therapist roles
- Familiarity with intervention strategies for learners with additional needs
- Ability to work flexibly across in-person, online, and hybrid formats
Compensation & Benefits:
