The Opportunity:

As an SEN Tutor, you will provide targeted support to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role offers flexibility, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Plan and deliver trauma-informed, flexible tutoring and mentoring sessions tailored to individual needs
  • Provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure continuous student development
  • Support learners from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, as appropriate for your expertise
  • Collaborate with local authorities and schools to deliver targeted educational support
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding standards
  • Engage in continuous professional development and mentorship opportunities
  • Participate in community and company events to share knowledge and resources

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD learners
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Experience in delivering trauma-informed teaching and support
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
  • Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK

Preferred

  • Experience teaching English, Maths, or Science
  • Familiarity with SENDCo, LSA, or Educational Therapist roles
  • Experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Professional references and Enhanced DBS certificate
