The Opportunity:

As a SEND Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping inclusive provision and ensuring that all students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to thrive. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement whole-school strategy for SEND provision.
  • Strengthen systems and processes to remove barriers to learning and support inclusive practice.
  • Coordinate high-quality support for students with EHCPs and those receiving SEN Support.
  • Interpret SEND data to drive targeted interventions and improve outcomes.
  • Guide and support teachers in delivering adaptive, evidence-informed practice.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Promote high expectations and equity for all students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo, senior leaders, and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and local authority processes.
  • Experience supporting or managing SEND provision in a school setting.
  • Ability to interpret SEND data and use it to drive targeted interventions.
  • Skilled in coordinating support for students with EHCPs and those receiving SEN Support.
  • Experience guiding teachers in delivering inclusive, adaptive practice.
  • Excellent communication skills with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership or senior management roles within education.
  • Knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities.
  • Experience in developing and leading whole-school inclusion strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEND-specific training and professional development.
