The Opportunity:
As a SEND Support Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the Inclusion Department, ensuring that students with special educational needs and disabilities receive timely and effective assistance. This role is central to the smooth operation of the department and plays a vital part in supporting students and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Annual Review meetings for students with SEND
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and the Local Authority
- Support the day-to-day running of the SEND department
- Manage a varied and sometimes demanding workload efficiently
- Draft correspondence independently and professionally
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Prioritise tasks effectively and remain calm under pressure
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good standard of education including GCSE Maths and English (A*-C or equivalent)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
- A high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Preferred
- Experience of working within a school environment
- Knowledge of Bromcom
