The Opportunity:

As a Senior ICT Technician, you will play a key role in delivering first and second line ICT and A/V support to ensure seamless technology integration across teaching, learning, and administrative functions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing institution and contribute to its future expansion, including the opening of a shared Sixth Form.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd Line ICT and A/V support to staff, students, and administrative teams.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of all technology systems across the school, including interactive whiteboards and specialist facilities.
  • Collaborate with the central ICT team within the Trust to enhance and maintain the school’s digital infrastructure.
  • Support the implementation of new technology solutions to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing disruption to school operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all ICT-related incidents and solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in educational ICT.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure technology aligns with the school’s educational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in providing ICT support within an educational setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and A/V systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a similar role within a multi-academy Trust.
  • Familiarity with managing and supporting interactive whiteboards and other classroom technology.
  • Knowledge of current educational technology trends and tools.
  • Experience with network infrastructure and security systems.
