The Opportunity:
As a Senior IT Technician, you will be the first point of contact for IT support, providing technical assistance to staff and pupils. You will manage ticket escalations, work on projects with the IT team, and ensure smooth operation of IT systems across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and pupils via phone, email, and face-to-face.
- Manage and resolve IT tickets from initial contact through to resolution.
- Collaborate with the IT team to support the day-to-day operation of IT systems.
- Escalate and assist with complex tickets from other technicians.
- Participate in projects outside of the helpdesk to improve IT infrastructure and services.
- Ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience for all members of the school community.
- Maintain and update IT systems to align with the school’s digital strategy.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in IT support and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management.
- Familiarity with a range of IT hardware and software.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in an educational setting or similar environment.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Understanding of digital strategy and innovation in education.
- Experience with project management or system development.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
