The Opportunity:
As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment for students. This is a vital position that ensures the school’s facilities support the educational mission and the well-being of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
- Ensure all school facilities are clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out specialist building maintenance work within the capacity of a normal handyperson.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date work records for all tasks completed.
- Identify and prioritize work tasks to ensure all responsibilities are managed effectively.
- Undertake a range of caretaking and cleaning duties as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to the school community and visitors.
- Support the implementation of health and safety policies, including COSHH and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment, in a school environment.
- Experience in carrying out specialist building maintenance work.
- Ability to keep detailed and accurate work records.
- Capability to perform a variety of caretaking and cleaning duties.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage workload effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of school operations and facilities management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to supporting the school’s leadership and character development mission.
