The Opportunity:

As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment for students. This is a vital position that ensures the school’s facilities support the educational mission and the well-being of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
  • Ensure all school facilities are clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Carry out specialist building maintenance work within the capacity of a normal handyperson.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date work records for all tasks completed.
  • Identify and prioritize work tasks to ensure all responsibilities are managed effectively.
  • Undertake a range of caretaking and cleaning duties as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the school community and visitors.
  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies, including COSHH and risk assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment, in a school environment.
  • Experience in carrying out specialist building maintenance work.
  • Ability to keep detailed and accurate work records.
  • Capability to perform a variety of caretaking and cleaning duties.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to manage workload effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of school operations and facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to supporting the school’s leadership and character development mission.
