Summary:

The Opportunity:

As a Spanish Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Spanish education to students across the school, up to A Level. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the curriculum and inspire the next generation of language learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
  • Collaborate with the Electives team to shape and enhance the Spanish curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development activities.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals through personalized teaching and mentorship.
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance in line with school procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and beyond, ideally up to A Level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with teaching in an independent or selective school environment.
  • Knowledge of modern language teaching methodologies and resources.
  • Experience with using digital tools and platforms to support teaching and learning.
