The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish Teacher (Part Time) to join a forward-thinking school. This role offers flexibility with a 3-day working week and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through an innovative and inspiring curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons aligned with an innovative and research-based curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement engaging, cross-curricular learning experiences.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence and cultural awareness through real-life language learning opportunities.
  • Participate in school events, including parents' evenings held on Thursday evenings.
  • Organise and lead culture-based rewards trips in the UK and language tours and exchanges abroad.
  • Engage in Continuing Professional Learning and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Spanish or as an ECT (Early Career Teacher).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Spanish.
  • Ability to set and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-based lessons.
  • Commitment to working 3 days per week, with Monday as a mandatory working day.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to international exchange programs or language trips.
  • Familiarity with UCL’s connected curriculum and collaborative teaching approaches.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and parents.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on Inner London UCL Pay Scale (MPS/UPS equivalent) with a £900 academy allowance, pro rata to 0.6 FTE.
