The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of sport within the school. This role offers the opportunity to work with students across a range of sports, including Rugby Union, Cricket, Hockey, and Netball, while supporting the school's co-curricular programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the school's sports programme.
• Assist in the delivery of the PE curriculum and support classroom instruction when required.
• Help organise and manage fixtures, transport, and catering for major sports.
• Provide supervision and recreational activities in the school sports centre one evening per week.
• Support the administration and delivery of the co-curricular programme.
• Act as a Residential Boarding Tutor and support the welfare and progress of students.
• Assist with the routine operation of the boarding house and maintain good order and discipline.
• Participate in house assemblies and undertake weekday and weekend house duties as part of a rota.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in playing and/or coaching a variety of sports.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Preferred

• Experience in Rugby Union, Cricket, Hockey, or Netball.
• Previous experience in a boarding or educational setting.
• Knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools.
• Ability to live in school accommodation during term time.
