The Opportunity:

As a Sports Development Coach - Cricket, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cricket coaching to pupils of all ages and abilities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic cricket programme while supporting the school’s vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and purposeful cricket coaching sessions to pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Work closely with the Head of Cricket to plan and deliver structured coaching programmes.
  • Set and monitor performance targets to support individual and team development.
  • Support and manage fixtures, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all participants.
  • Uphold the school’s strong pastoral ethos and promote its vision and values through coaching and interaction.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the school’s cricket programme.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall sporting experience for pupils.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in coaching cricket at a junior or youth level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver structured coaching sessions.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and pastoral ethos.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of youth development and sports psychology.
  • Experience with fixture management and event coordination.
  • Familiarity with the school’s co-curricular programme and values.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Free accommodation (including council tax, water, and electricity) for the first 10 hours of coaching per week.
  • Additional hours paid at £15.00 per hour.
