The Opportunity:
As a Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting SEND learners and helping them achieve their educational goals. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives through personalized teaching and innovative learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver teaching/learning programmes using a range of strategies and learning styles.
- Develop and adapt learning resources to meet individual learner needs.
- Assess student progress and devise assessment processes against personalized targets.
- Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and curriculum development.
- Support learners in College or on work experience with tailored guidance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage in Continuous Professional Development to enhance teaching practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
- A Level 4 Teaching Qualification or equivalent, to be achieved within 3 years of appointment.
- Relevant assessment qualifications (IQA/A1/V1).
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Experience in teaching and a passion for working with SEND learners.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in further education or related fields.
- Experience with virtual learning environments (VLE).
- Knowledge of apprenticeship and work-based learning frameworks.
