Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring, well-planned lessons that stretch and nurture every learner
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment
- Track progress carefully and implement effective interventions
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through clubs, events, and enrichment opportunities
- Support pupils pastorally as a Form Tutor or Deputy Form Tutor
- Engage fully in professional development and departmental planning
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality curriculum across key stages
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good Honours degree (QTS preferred but not essential)
- Strong subject expertise and a love of literature and language
- Ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A Level
- Excellent communication skills with clarity, warmth, and sensitivity
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safeguarding and professional integrity
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level English Language
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply
