The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of Music to join our team and help shape a thriving music department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students of all abilities and lead the development of a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum, including A Level and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and expanding extracurricular music programme.
  • Work closely with the Head of the Creative and Performing Arts faculty and peripatetic music teachers.
  • Support the delivery of a challenging curriculum that promotes student achievement and engagement.
  • Participate in the school’s bespoke CPD programme, including NPQ opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and professional development.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Music.
  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music activities.
  • Experience with A Level Music teaching.
  • Familiarity with peripatetic music teacher management.
  • Experience in Catholic education or faith-based schools.
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
