The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of Music to join our team and help shape a thriving music department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students of all abilities and lead the development of a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum, including A Level and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality music lessons that inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and expanding extracurricular music programme.
- Work closely with the Head of the Creative and Performing Arts faculty and peripatetic music teachers.
- Support the delivery of a challenging curriculum that promotes student achievement and engagement.
- Participate in the school’s bespoke CPD programme, including NPQ opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration and professional development.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Music.
- Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular music activities.
- Experience with A Level Music teaching.
- Familiarity with peripatetic music teacher management.
- Experience in Catholic education or faith-based schools.
- Experience with curriculum development and delivery.
