Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality RE lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the RE curriculum.
  • Support the school's Catholic ethos and promote the spiritual development of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic success.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance subject knowledge and teaching practice.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Support the school’s mission to ensure all students achieve their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education.
  • Experience in teaching students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Catholic curriculum or teaching in a Catholic school.
  • Experience with ECT support programmes.
  • Strong track record in raising student achievement in RE.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
