The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with physical disabilities, ensuring they can access learning with dignity and confidence. This is a key position that contributes directly to the well-being and educational success of students within a collaborative and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with physical disabilities, ensuring full access to the curriculum
  • Deliver personal and intimate care in a respectful, sensitive, and confidential manner
  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups, both in and out of the classroom
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, and use of specialist equipment as required
  • Manage and support pupil behaviour to maintain a safe and constructive learning environment
  • Respond proactively to pupils’ needs, questions, and requests for help
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting pupils with additional needs
