The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons to Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Assist with classroom management, including preparing resources and materials.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lunchtime and playground duties to ensure the safety and enjoyment of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support the school’s educational goals.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the overall school culture by promoting kindness, thoughtfulness, and inclusion.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Experience working with children, either in a school or other educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly within a team.
  • Commitment to the well-being and development of young learners.
  • Ability to form positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience in a classroom environment or as a teaching assistant.
  • Knowledge of early years education and child development.
  • Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with Key Stage 1 curriculum and teaching methods.
