Teaching Assistant role available at a school in the UK. Support students in mainstream and group interventions.

The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students in both mainstream lessons and smaller group interventions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in mainstream lessons and during group interventions
  • Assist with behaviour management and provide a safe and positive learning environment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver effective learning support
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to ensure student progress
  • Provide one-to-one support where required to help students reach their full potential
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of learning activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and respect within the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
  • Ability to support students with English as an Additional Language or special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage student behaviour effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

Preferred

  • Qualifications in education or related fields
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience working in a school or academy setting
  • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures
