As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students during lessons, helping to raise achievement and foster a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities
  • Assist with preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as needed
  • Monitor and support students’ progress and behavior during lessons
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to student learning and assessment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Basic IT skills, including the use of office software
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards student support and learning
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting
  • Experience working with students of all abilities
  • Knowledge of teaching methods and learning support strategies
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures
