The Opportunity:

As a Venue Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and installation of lighting and sound equipment for a variety of events, including concerts and drama performances. This role is essential in ensuring that all events run smoothly and meet the high standards expected at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain lighting and sound equipment for events.
• Install and configure audiovisual systems as required.
• Support the planning and execution of concerts, drama performances, and other events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during events.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and other staff to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Maintain and store equipment in a safe and organized manner.
• Provide technical support to students and staff during rehearsals and performances.
• Keep detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in the operation and installation of lighting and sound equipment.
• Knowledge of Arts industry and experience with concerts and drama events.
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with sound and lighting control systems.
• Familiarity with event management processes.
• Previous experience in an educational or performing arts setting.
• Relevant industry certifications or training.
