The Opportunity:
A Year 4 Teacher is needed to lead a diverse curriculum in English, Maths, and Humanities. This role is ideal for an ECT or experienced teacher from the independent or maintained sector, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in English, Maths, and Humanities to a Year 4 class.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s curriculum.
- Support student progress through continuous assessment and targeted feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes such as Dragon QUEST.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Stay up to date with educational trends and best practices in teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of preparing students to thrive in a changing world.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Humanities.
- Experience working with children aged 8-9 years.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in an independent (prep) school or maintained sector.
- ECT or experienced teacher with a proven track record of student achievement.
- Familiarity with enrichment programmes and out-of-classroom learning opportunities.
- Passion for education and a commitment to student development.
