The Opportunity:

A Year 4 Teacher is needed to lead a diverse curriculum in English, Maths, and Humanities. This role is ideal for an ECT or experienced teacher from the independent or maintained sector, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in English, Maths, and Humanities to a Year 4 class.
  • Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that align with the school’s curriculum.
  • Support student progress through continuous assessment and targeted feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes such as Dragon QUEST.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with educational trends and best practices in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in primary education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Humanities.
  • Experience working with children aged 8-9 years.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in an independent (prep) school or maintained sector.
  • ECT or experienced teacher with a proven track record of student achievement.
  • Familiarity with enrichment programmes and out-of-classroom learning opportunities.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student development.
